Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 2025 ยท Mi Telecom Limited

We keep this simple. Mi Connect uses a small number of essential and functional cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not share cookie data with ad networks.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners.

We also use localStorage โ€” a similar technology built into your browser โ€” to store your login session and cookie consent preference. This data stays on your device and is never transmitted unless you actively use the service.

Cookies we use

Cookie / storage key Type Purpose Duration
mc_token Essential Stores your login session token so you stay logged into the Mi Connect dashboard. Without this you would be logged out on every page visit. 7 days
mc_cookies Essential Remembers that you have accepted our cookie notice so it doesn't show on every visit. Persistent
mc_session Analytics An anonymous session identifier used to connect widget events (impression, open, submit) within a single visit. Contains no personal data. Used only when the Mi Connect widget is active on a page. Session (cleared when browser closes)
Stripe cookies Functional Stripe sets cookies during the checkout process to prevent fraud and ensure payment security. These are set only when you visit a Stripe payment page. See Stripe's cookie policy. Varies

Cookies on customer websites

When the Mi Connect widget is installed on a customer's website, the mc_session sessionStorage key is set on that website. This is an anonymous identifier โ€” it contains no personal information and is used only to link widget interaction events within a single visit for analytics purposes.

Website owners who install Mi Connect should mention this in their own cookie notice. The Mi Connect widget does not set any advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Managing your cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that deleting the mc_token key will log you out of your Mi Connect dashboard.

You can also clear your Mi Connect preferences here:

No advertising cookies

We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other advertising or behavioural tracking technology on the Mi Connect website or dashboard. We do not share any data with advertising networks.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy if we introduce new cookies. Changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
