Terms of Service
1. Agreement to terms
By creating an account with Mi Connect, operated by Mi Telecom Limited ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These terms apply to all users of Mi Connect, including direct customers, agency staff, and agency owners.
2. Description of service
Mi Connect is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that enables businesses to add a callback widget to their website. The widget allows website visitors to request an immediate callback or schedule a call. Calls are connected via the Mi Telecom telephony API.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
3. Accounts and registration
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
You must be at least 18 years old to use Mi Connect. By using the service you confirm you have the authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of your business.
4. Billing and payments
Mi Connect operates on a monthly subscription basis. Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing payment details you authorise us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring monthly basis.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period โ no partial-month refunds are issued.
For agency accounts, additional per-widget charges apply as agreed at the time of your agency setup. Setup fees are non-refundable. Overage charges for calls exceeding your monthly allowance will be billed in arrears.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Mi Connect to:
- Make unsolicited marketing calls (cold calling) โ the widget is for inbound lead conversion only, where the visitor has actively requested contact
- Call premium rate numbers (084, 087, 09x), international numbers, or personal numbering ranges (070)
- Harass, threaten, or cause distress to any person
- Violate any applicable law including the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) regulations
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the service without a formal agency agreement
- Use the service for any fraudulent purpose
Violation of acceptable use policies may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without refund.
6. Fair usage policy
This section is particularly important if you use Mi Connect on a high-traffic website or as part of an agency arrangement.
Permitted number types
Mi Connect will only place calls to the following UK number types:
- UK geographic numbers โ 01xxx and 02xxx
- UK non-geographic numbers โ 03xxx (charged at geographic rates)
- UK mobile numbers โ 07xxx (excluding 070x personal numbering)
The following number types are blocked and will not be called under any circumstances:
- International numbers (any number not beginning 01, 02, 03, or 07)
- Premium rate numbers (084x, 087x, 09x)
- Personal numbering (070x)
- Non-dialable or VoIP-only ranges (056x)
Call volume
Mi Connect is designed for genuine customer callback requests initiated by website visitors. It is not designed for or permitted for bulk outbound calling campaigns.
If your account generates an unusually high volume of calls inconsistent with normal website visitor traffic patterns, we reserve the right to investigate and, if necessary, suspend your account pending review. We will contact you before taking action wherever possible.
Abuse prevention
We monitor call patterns to detect and prevent abuse. Accounts generating calls to premium, international, or non-geographic numbers, or generating calls at a rate inconsistent with human website traffic, will be suspended without notice.
False or misleading information submitted through a callback widget (fake names, invalid phone numbers, etc.) may result in account investigation.
Overage
Agency accounts include a monthly call allowance as specified in your agency agreement. Calls exceeding this allowance will be charged at the overage rate agreed at setup. You will receive an email notification when you reach 80% of your monthly allowance.
7. Data and privacy
You are the data controller for the personal data of your website visitors who submit callback requests. Mi Telecom acts as a data processor on your behalf. Our processing is governed by our Privacy Policy.
You must have a lawful basis for processing visitor data and, if using the GDPR consent checkbox feature, ensure your privacy policy accurately describes how visitor data is used.
Visitor callback data is retained for 12 months by default. You may request deletion at any time.
8. Agency and reseller terms
Agency accounts are subject to a separate agency agreement in addition to these terms. The agency agreement governs wholesale pricing, widget limits, and call allowances.
Agency owners are responsible for ensuring that all customers managed under their agency account comply with these Terms of Service and the fair usage policy. Violations by agency customers may result in termination of the agency account.
White-labelling is permitted for agency accounts. However, you may not misrepresent the underlying service in a way that creates legal or reputational risk for Mi Telecom Limited.
Agency pricing is commercially sensitive. You agree not to disclose your wholesale pricing to third parties.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mi Telecom Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Mi Connect shall not exceed the amounts paid by you in the three months preceding the claim.
Mi Connect depends on third-party services including Stripe (payments) and Mi Telecom's telephony infrastructure. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by third-party failures, though we will endeavour to restore service as quickly as possible.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time via account settings. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you breach these terms, fail to pay, or if we reasonably suspect fraudulent or abusive use.
Upon termination, your widget will stop functioning immediately. Your data will be retained for 30 days after which it will be permanently deleted, unless a longer retention period is required by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of Mi Connect after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
